Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
ClearSky Imagery ApS and ClearSky Vision ApS (“ClearSKY”, “we”, “us”) respect your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, what we don’t, and how we use your information. Contact us any time at [email protected]. We are registered in Denmark.
2. What we collect
- Service telemetry (minimal): basic website/app events (e.g., page paths, request timestamps, referrer and device/browser info) to operate, secure and improve the service. We look at aggregated counts (e.g., “/pricing had 120 requests from DK”), not per-user profiles.
- Marketing landing pages (cookieless measurement): on selected pages (e.g.,
/try-cloudless/*
) we record pseudonymous page views and CTA clicksto understand which messages resonate. The data may include page path, campaign parameters (e.g., ad click IDs) passed via URL, referrer, browser info, coarse location (country), and a hashed IP (non-reversible) for fraud prevention and deduplication. We don’t set analytics or advertising cookies for this. - Dashboard events: limited in-product events (e.g., sign-ins and feature usage) to operate the dashboard, protect against abuse and understand feature adoption. When analysed, these events are aggregated or pseudonymous.
- Contact data: email, name and organisation if you submit a form (e.g., support, sample data, newsletter). Providing this is optional.
- Customer account data (dashboard users): basic account identifiers and billing metadata needed to provide the service.
3. Cookies & similar tech
We are proud not to use non-essential cookies or localStorage for analytics or advertising on our marketing pages. Our landing-page measurement is cookieless. Our security features (including bot/spam protection) may set strictly necessary cookies, such as __cf_bm
or cf_clearance
, to keep the site reliable and secure. These do not require consent.
Google Ads on our landing pages runs in Consent Mode with cookies disabled by default; we send a minimal, cookieless conversion ping on CTA click. If you later provide consent, Google may use cookies in line with that consent.
The dashboard may use localStorage/session storage to remember non-personal preferences (e.g., “show this once”, map settings, or theme). These are not used to track you across sites and you can clear them via your browser at any time.
4. Why we process data & legal bases (GDPR/UK GDPR)
- Provide and maintain the service (legal basis: Contract).
- Security, fraud/bot prevention, service analytics and marketing measurement, using aggregated and/or pseudonymous data where possible (legal basis: Legitimate interests).
- Communications and newsletters if you opt in (legal basis: Consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
- Billing, tax and compliance (legal basis: Legal obligation).
5. What we don’t do
- No non-essential cookies on marketing pages; no cross-site tracking.
- No selling or “sharing” personal information for behavioural advertising.
- No user profiling or automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects.
6. Service providers
We use carefully selected providers under data-protection terms and our instructions only. Today these include Cloudflare (infrastructure, security/CDN, server-side analytics and databases), Google (cookieless Ads conversion measurement on landing pages) and Brevo (email). We may update this list as our service evolves.
7. International transfers
Your information may be processed outside your country. Where required, we use safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and comparable mechanisms to protect your data.
8. Data retention
- Service logs/security telemetry: up to 90 days.
- Marketing landing-page events (cookieless): up to 12 months.
- Emails/newsletters: until you unsubscribe, then kept on a suppression list for up to 24 months.
- Contracts/invoices and associated records: kept for statutory periods (e.g., tax).
After these periods, we delete or irreversibly anonymise the data.
9. Your choices & rights
You can use browser settings, tracking protection or content blockers to limit measurement scripts. Depending on where you live, you can also request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to certain processing. You can withdraw consent at any time. You may complain to your local supervisory authority (in Denmark: Datatilsynet). To make a request, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity.
10. Security
We apply industry-standard protections (encryption in transit/at rest, access controls, and regular backups) to reduce the risk of unauthorised access, alteration or loss. However, no online service is 100% secure.
11. Children
Our services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
12. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post changes here and update the “Last updated” date. For material changes, we may also provide additional notice.
